Soms moet je gewoon iets posten, en vandaag is het een dergelijke dag. Ik ben net een uur terug van een feestje dat werd gehouden bij een veldje achter een flatgebouw waar de organisator voor het gebeuren woont. Tijdens het gebeuren kwam er opeens een politieagente op ons aangestormd. Ze stelde de vraag : "Hebben jullie ook een jonge vrouw voorbij zien komen?"

Ons antwoord : "Ehm geen idee, hoe zag ze eruit?"

Haar verbluffende intelligente antwoord: " Dat gaat jullie geen hol aan".

Dad visited me today, help me install some stuff in my kitchen, and brought me a case of books. It is a collection of Russian Literature, when I looked at some of the books, I found one that piqued my interest. Dead Souls by Gogol. I never knew that there was a book on which the Joy Division song was based. Ah well, some more of hunderds of pages to my book collection that I haven't read yet.

During this beautiful summer day I attended a funeral of a deceased relative. The small church was filled with a lot more people than expected. Instead of sermons about a God and his son that mean nothing to me, the service started with "Shine on You Crazy Diamond" from Pink Floyd. Not just the end part , but the whole frikkin suite/piece of music. If they had played Lou Reed's Just a perfect day afterwards I had really broken down

I never knew that this was a single accompanied by a video. But hey, I never knew Night scented stock was a stand alone song till I bought the cd some years ago. ( At the age of four I just did not bother to read the songtitles at the LP backflap? Or were they printed at the inner sleeve? Ah what the hell, I couldn't read at that age anyway.)

In other news, I was sincerely surprised that Trent Reznor lied or changed his mind: Nine Inch Nails is gonna tour again in a "rock" set-up instead of a keyboard duo trio that is the staple of the electronic scene and which bore's me to death, so yay for Trent. And if it that wasn't good enough , he kicked axl rose in the nuts and stole Robin Finck back. More Yay. All the GNR lovers can orgasm to the thought that Slash might return, but I sincerly hope that the redheaded idiot commits suicide or takes an overdose.
Anyhow this summer NIN will tour the US, it is rumored to be the beginning of a world tour, so if the band could do a concert over here that would make my little life complete, again.

Goed , ik ben al weer een paar dagen een jaar ouder. Omdat de dollar zo laag stond een tijdje geleden besloot ik mezelf maar eens te trakteren op verjaardagscadeautjes via Amazon. De bestelling kwam vandaag voor het grootste gedeelte binnen, enkele dvd's moeten nog aankomen. Echter, ik pakte als eerste een boek uit van Philip K dick en bladerde er wat in, achterin stond een blurb over de materialen waar het boek van gemaakt was. Het boek blijkt in Nederland gemaakt te zijn. Ergens toch een enorme omweg.

I watched a part of the BBC documentary called " No Plan, No Peace" about the invasion in Irak. This one of these odd things that proove that Truth is stranger than Fiction. (unless you are a little bitch called Harlan Ellison who thinks otherwise) Call me naive but I was flabbergasted that the day before the invasion the allied troops called up an expert about Irak if he know people besides him that could devise a plan to bring decomcracy to Irak.

Mijn computer is ontploft , gefrituurd, hoe je het ook wilt noemen, het moederbord is naar de klote. Ik ben dus genoodzaakt noodzakelijke pc /internet dingen op andere plaatsen te doen. Daarnaast was/ben ik ook verschrikkelijk ziek. Laatste paar dagen kon ik niet op mijn benen staan, verdere details bespaar ik u.

Dergelijk leiden leid tot een groter inzicht zegt men, dat klopt: ik ben tot de volgende inzichten gekomen,

het was goed om een stand alone dvd speler te kopen,
mijn dvd collectie is erg cool

Twin Peaks is moeder aller goede tv series van de jaren negentig tot nu toe.

En nu ga ik maar eens verder met de tweede dvdbox van Twin Peaks.

Vanmorgen hoorde ik van de chef, op zijn eigen sarcastische wijze verteld hoe een medewerker hem heeft bedreigd. Dit was dermatig heftig dat zelfs onze achterbuurt FC Groningen Hooligan onder de indruk was. Politie etc zijn ingelicht en hoe het precies verder gaat is nog niet duidelijk. Nu heb ik de afgelopen jaren vooral via internet wel de nodige loze bedreigingen naar mijn hoofd gekregen, en bedreigingen worden door veel mensen ook weggewuifd als iets onzinnigs geuit door machteloze mongolen. Maar als de uiter van de bedreigingen ook nog in staat is toch behoorlijk gestoorde acties, ga je toch even achter je oren krabben. Al met al vind ik het geen leuk begin van de week.

I was reading my Absolute Sandman , and a songlyric caught my eye. I never heard of it, so I googled it. First hit was Neil Gaiman's weblog, so I browsed the site and found the lyric and the artist, but something else caught my eye. Gaiman announced the Absolute Sandman volume 2. It will contain the story (arc) "A game of you" my favourite from the Sandman series. Only thing with this story is that different artists pencilled and inked it. So in the middle of it the art changes from good to horrible. But Neil Gaiman mentioned that the original artist will redo the inking of that particular part of the story. The volume will be out in october but I can't wait.

Ik ga eindelijk naar een grotere kamer en hoef niks meer met anderen te delen. Ondanks die vooruitzichten en de hulp bij het opknappen van het nieuwe appartementje, ben ik een te grote chaoot voor dit soort klussen. Zoals ze hier in de omgeving zeggen: Ut kost wat, maar dan heb je ook wat.

Goed en dan zie je Peter R. de Vries, blerend over Judasstreken op de tv. Wat is er aan de hand? Meneer had tijdens een reportage zijn email bekeken op een laptop van een de mensen van zijn reportageteam. Deze "vriend", zoals Peter hem noemde, had nu de mailbox van De Vries gekraakt, omdat hij het niet eens was met een aantal uitlatingen van PrdV.
Goed kwestie van contractbreuk, niet netjes en schenden van vertrouwen op zijn minst. Maarrrrrrrr het verweer van de Vries was hij zo vaak in het buitenland was en dan ook zo vaak inlogde in hotels( geweldig zijn gesneer naar MM Huibrechts : "Ik weet niet of je wel eens in het buitenland komt.") Dit van de meneer de Vries die

1 Aivd diskettes ontving van de een of andere bron
2 Een computer kreeg die eerst toebehoorde aan de heer Tonino

en ik zal wel weer iets vergeten, maar meneer de Vries zou ondertussen moeten weten door zijn eigen uitzendingen dat je je gevoelige informatie goed moet beschermen,en dat betekent in dit geval ook niet in het wilde weg overal je inloggegevens achterlaten.

Natuurlijk heeft de huilie een punt dat het niet netjes is, maar toch voor iemand die zo hoog van de toren blaast tegenover een Tonino over het op straat gooien van een computer, vind ik een enorme hypocriet als het met hemzelf gebeurd. Laat ik het er maar op houden dat het "poetic Justice" is, voor de medewerking van Peterrrrrrrrrrrrrrr aan de campagne voor BIG.
